My contact link (http://xri.net/=fen) brought you here. Xri.net acts as a public directory (like the white pages) of global i-names. But for your privacy and security, all it can return is the location of the i-broker, nothing more.
This particular contact page allows public access, but I could define specific access to different pages (or other forms of contact, e.g. email or phone) for each community I participate in, including groups of friends. People or groups desiring access could be securely authenticated by their i-name, and potentially enhanced by the collective power of my community(s), I'd get to decide who sees what.
To limit spams, I require that you must authenticate via either your i-name or a verified email address, either of which I can then use to reply to your message.

While 2idi.com, the company I helped create and the first i-broker, is no more, i-names live on! I remain bullish on this technology and look forward to it merging with the OpenID movement (some of this is happening already) or supplanting it when the limitations of OpenID become more apparent to everyone.
